Robert L. Hatch serves as the Clerkship Director of the Family Medicine and Geriatrics Clerkship at the University of Florida College of Medicine and Medical Director of the U.F. Comprehensive Assessment, Remediation and Education Service. Dr. Hatch has received numerous awards including Who’s Who in Medicine and HealthCare, listed in Best Doctors in America, and is a three-time recipient of the Excellence in Generalist Medical Education Award. He has written numerous refereed articles and book chapters, and is co-author of the book Fracture Management in Primary Care. Dr. Hatch’s areas of interest are access to health care for uninsured people, community-oriented primary care, public health, rural medicine, sports medicine, fracture care by family physicians, office radiology, substance abuse, the history of medicine, the medical school admissions process and spirituality and health. He is internationally known for his Spiritual Involvement and Beliefs Scale.
