Title of UFCSH talk: “In Recovery from the Election: Healing the Wounds, Win or Lose”
We feel the tension between Republicans, Democrats and others. We have our own anxiety about standing for what we believe and we have profound fears about the future should the other candidate win. Our hearts and souls are taking a beating! Whether the candidate we support wins or loses, we need time for healing wounds, processing the tensions that arose during this time of challenges, and finding our own balance between principles and compassion. To remain one nation, can we learn to reach out to those with whom we disagree? An opportunity to work together in this spiritual process through sharing, meditation and simple universal ritual.
