Father Thomas Keating

An internationally renowned Trappist Monk, spiritual leader and author known for promoting contemplative prayer and religious tolerance, discussed “The Experience of Centering Prayer”.

Thomas Keating, OCSO, is a founder of Contemplative Outreach, a spiritual network that teaches the Centering Prayer throughout the United States and provides a support system for those who practice it. He is the author of several books including Open Heart, Open Mind and Invitation to Love: A Way of Christian Contemplation.

Father Keating is a member of the International Committee for Peace Council which fosters dialogue among the world religions. He is also a member of the Snowmass Interreligious Conference, a group of teachers from world religions who meet annually to share their experience of the spiritual journey in their respective traditions.
